Positive Discipline in the Classroom course

This 2 day course is based on the book ‘Positive Discipline in the Classroom’ written by Jane Nelson ED.D, Lynn Lott M.A. and H Stephen Glenn Ph.D, for Teachers and Educators to help apply Positive Discipline in the classroom, in order to develop mutual respect, cooperation and responsibility and restore order and civility.

In todays modern world, with its increasing digital distractions, Teachers are competing for their students attention whilst trying to satisfy the increasing demands of academic standards. It is more important than ever that educators be able to combat apathy, instill vital problem solving skills and create a climate that maximizes learning.

You will learn, practice and receive support to:

  • Create a classroom climate that enhances academic learning
  • Use encouragement rather than praise and rewards
  • Instill valuable social skills and positive behaviour through the use of class meetings
  • Learn why involving students in solving problems is much more effective than punishment
  • Understand the motivation behind students’ behaviour instead of looking for causes
    And much more!

Imagine, instead of trying to control behavior, you will be teaching and instead of confronting apathy, you will enjoy motivated, eager students!

The course is 2 days, 9am – 5pm.

£4,500 per course (min 16, max 20 participants) or £295 per participant
